Once the CRA receives your T2201 form, they will review the application to determine your eligibility. This process can take several weeks. The CRA may also contact your medical practitioner if they need additional information. If your application is approved, you will receive a Notice of Determination confirming your eligibility and the period for which you are eligible. Once approved, you can claim the DTC on your tax return. If you are denied, you can request a review or file an objection with the CRA.
